How do I get housing in Athens?

  1. Follow the Foothills AHEC housing support flow chart to see if your rotation is eligible.

  2. Review the Athens Housing Information.

  3. Complete the online Student Support Form with all rotation details, including the first and last name of your preceptor or clerkship director. The Foothills AHEC Student Support Coordinator will  email within 2-3 business days to confirm receipt of the request and provide availability.

  4. Once you receive housing availability, review and e-sign the Housing Fines/Fees Schedule and Agreement to officially reserve housing.

  5. Select one article to read from the  AHEC Student Housing Reading Requirement list.

    1. Upon finishing the article, click the link below to attest that you have completed this activity.

    2. There is no graded assignment.

    3. Attestation is due before checking out of vacating the housing.

Statewide AHEC Housing Cancellation Policy:

Housing cancellations must be immediately communicated to the AHEC by you (the student) and no other person, including the clerkship coordinator. There is a 30 day cancellation policy for clerkships. If you fail to cancel a housing reservation 30 days prior the start day of a rotation then you are subject to a $200 housing fine and risk forfeiture of future use of all AHEC housing for the remainder of the clinical year.
